SmartScoop Self-Scooping Automatic Self Cleaning Litter Box
The SmartScoop family of products was created to meet the challenge of litter box odor and mess. We knew there was a need for more effective litter and odor control products, so we designed innovative solutions to make your life easier. Now you can spend more time with your cat and less time with the box!
It uses a single assembly motor unit and waste collector and has a heavy duty and easy-to-clean litter pan. It also has a smart sensor for triggered activation of cleaning cycle, with load and obstacle safety sensor - both in the forward and return direction making it easier to operate and maintain. It has a large usable litter area both modern and clean appearance and works with your favorite clumping litter. No need to buy costly, special litter.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Unless you want to hear lots of noise through the night, and you like to constantly fix things that "hang up"...........we had to use bar soap to rub the sides of the litter box, so it wouldn't hang up as the AUTOMATIC RAKING PROCESS took place (or not)..........SO IF YOU LIKE TO THROW MONEY AWAY, BUY THIS ITEM.

Not a good product
I've used automatic litter boxes for about 8 years....started with the original Littermaid automatic litter box and it worked great for almost 5 years. Bought another Littermaid...New and Improved (NOT!) which lasted about 12 months during which I had to constantly clean the rake, remove used litter because the rake didn't pick it up. Finally gave up and bought a Smart Scoop...it doesn't work any better than the 2nd Littermaid that I purchased....doesn't clean up clumps if they are too big or smaller than a walnut. I've changed brands of litter numerous times, from storebrand to the one that claims to be worlds best. Sometimes I think it's the litter then other times I just have to say, instead of improving on the original Littermaid, both companies seem to have missed the boat of what an automatic litterbox needs to do and to get it done. About ready to purchase a litterbox that is "scoop yourself" since that seems to be what I do almost every day with the Smart Scoop Automatic

The rake, that scoops up the waste drug on the bottom and would not complete a cycle. The vendor told me it was a warranty issue, and I had to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent me a new rake. The new rake did not drag on the bottom, but it was so far from the bottom that it catches the waste puck in the middle, which results in only removing about 1/2 to 2/3 of the waste to the waste bin. The rest is stuck on the bottom, or stuck on the rake itself! Hard waste was pushed outside the box onto the floor or ends up behind the rake! Totally non functional. The vendor refuses a refund, saying I have to deal with the manufacturer. The manufacturer has not responded to my email request for a refund. I have used LitterMaid boxes for about 20 years, with total success. I've bought another one, that is working perfectly, to replace this failure.
