This box is great. Leave the lid off for a day or two so cats will acclimate if needed. This box may not be the best for larger or older cats to enter. Litter scatter is almost none. It does hold alot more litter and some people prefer getting trash bags instead of their liners, but it works great!

Very disappointed in this litter box. It does not scoop anything. Gets stuck in the lttier even when there is not urine or poo in it. We hsd an old one that we had to replace. The old one had placiict prong to scoop with and was amazing, so we expected the same from the rpelacement especially with the metal prongs. Boy were we wrong! Wish we had the old one back. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!

I have been quite pleased with my Scoopfree system until now. Suddenly the replacement boxes of liter are becoming saturated with urine after only two to three weeks of use, and I only have one cat. I will, after completing this review, contact the Scoopfree people, and get Rudy into the Vet to ensure there are no problems with him that would be causing increased urine output. There is a problem somewhere and I think the boxes should be made out of more liquid proof material.

We have 1 cat and it only last about 2 weeks and then you can smell the odor. The refills are expensive, would like it if the refills didn't cost me $42.00 month. Other than that I like it.

What a waste of 40$. My cat decided to pee down the stairs to show her dislike. Picture litter on the stairs clumping with urine trickling down. And forget about the liners--they do not stay in place. My cat and I decided the box had to go after one week of hellish attempted litter scoopings.

Think carefully before your purchase. I have one very messy kitty and one very timid one. The timid one is small and a traditional box works fine. The larger, messy cat is the one I bought the Booda box for. It does cut down on the mess. It does however create a new set of message. Sometimes the cat pees on the stairs which wouldn't be a big deal but the stairs are hard to clean without emptying the whole box. There is a channel to the left of the stairs that you don't see in the pictures the urine leaks into and in hard ti get clean without dumping all the litter. I have been soaking up the urine with paper towels and then wiping it down with antibacterial wipes. The second issue is when she pees in the box it runs down the side and onto the floor necessitating a mat under near. Since the box is so large it's hard to find a mat to accommodate. I ended up buying a small truck liner with a lip so if I am not home the urine doesn't go all over the floor. I hate that you can't carry the box by the handle. It does however deliver on the no order claim which is why I haven't run out and bought a new type of box. It also looks nicer than most.

I would not recommend it. I found more odor came from it than the regular hooded. Also had to vacuum the steps everyday as it was the only way to clean them and litter still got everywhere. Emptying was also harder. I wasted my money on one of these. : (

I thought the Kitty a Go-Go had nice features and would be a better size for my 11 pound Maine Coon cat so I spent the extra money for it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment. It looked nice and I liked the way the tray slides out to get at the litter but because of the large opening when my cat moved the litter it ended up out through the opening and all over my bathroom floor. The other very annoying thing was that there are indentations where the handles for the large built in litter rake lie and litter would collect in there and eventually ooze over the sides and onto the floor. In a few days I got so tired of cleaning up the mess I packed it back into it's box and moved it to the basement where it is now. I wrote the manufacturer a very nice email letting them know I wasn't expecting them to take it back or a refund but wanted them to know about the issues so they might correct them. However, they didn't even have the courtesy to write back. So I'm back to my old box and still looking...

Having looking at many automated boxes and gadgets, we decided to give this unit a try (Not expecting much with 3 cats). After 60 uses (Elite has a resettable counter) the litter had some signs of saturation. The unit worked great and there was very low box oder and no leaking. I love this thing. All the cats took to the box almost immediately and never looked back. 1 cat is about 24 lbs., 1 about 3 lbs., and a kitten 3 months old and only the kitten was spooked by the rake, 1st time, when it first cycled. The replacement litter pans are expensive (but sturdy) and deals can be found. The price is justified by the better smelling room and the ease of disposal. Never having to handle any waste is a huge benefit. The litter lasted a bit over a week . Not too bad when comparing it to the old cat box with regular clay lasting about the same but with scooping, scooping, scooping, (and a lot of smell!). I highly recommend this unit over Litter Maid at $100 and the very high priced Litter Robot at $350 which would have been my choice if we had not seen this. I tell everyone about this product and now, I have told all of you. Note added for Feb 2011 is that a service call was made to Scoopfree because the unit is failing to return properly. Great news for Scoopfree... They have arranged to send a brand new unit to us free with a prepaid return label to send back the faulty unit. Great people. If we need another unit down the line, we will be buying another Scoopfree!

Uses plastic grocery bags for clump collection, runs soundlessly, doesn't require special litter or trays, reasonably-priced compared to other models. The problem? My cats won't come near it regardless of the fact that I used Cat Attract litter, let their old boxes get yucky, and tried putting some clumps from their old boxes in this one. They'd rather use the floor next to their old boxes. I think the round shape and lack of room in the box caused by the conveyer mechanism turned them off.
